Batch vs realtime API pricing calculator
Compare mixed Batch and synchronous token costs against an all-realtime baseline using your usage and four explicit rates. Free local calculation, no model call or assumed discount.
Calculate realtime vs Batch costs ↓Batch pricing: synchronous and batch token cost calculator
Split one model’s monthly total into synchronous and Batch portions, apply their input/output rates, and compare with an all-synchronous baseline. Batch usage is included in the total, never added twice. No account or model call.
Batch is asynchronous processing for work that does not need immediate responses; it differs from concurrent calls to a synchronous endpoint. Check model eligibility, timing, quotas and current rates. Text tokens only: excludes cache, media, tool calls, retries, tax and FX; no promise of actual savings.

Public pricing-tier notes
- Split usage by whether a task needs an immediate response. Check the same model’s Batch support, asynchronous delivery, quotas and applicable rates. Concurrent client requests do not automatically qualify for Batch prices.
- Enter Batch input and output tokens separately as subsets of their corresponding totals. Request counts or a single percentage do not establish the token mix.
- Supply all four rates explicitly. The calculator shows the mixed total, all-realtime baseline and signed difference, including when Batch is more expensive. A difference is not a savings promise.
- Text-token costs for your entered model and conditions only. Cache, tools, media, retries, tax and FX are excluded; verify current provider rates and actual bills separately.

FAQ
When is Batch appropriate?
First confirm that the work does not require an immediate response. Check current provider guidance on model support, asynchronous delivery, quotas and your deadline. Concurrent synchronous calls are not a Batch job.
How do I calculate mixed realtime and Batch pricing?
Subtract Batch input and output from their corresponding totals. Price the remainder at synchronous rates and the Batch portion at explicitly entered Batch rates. Add the two and compare with the all-realtime baseline to avoid double counting.
Is a 50% discount assumed or saving guaranteed?
No. You verify and enter all four rates; no automatic discount or currency conversion is applied. More expensive Batch rates still produce a higher estimate. This is a conditional estimate, not a final bill or purchase quote.
